I Want This—You

I want this—you.

And this wanting seems an impossible wish because you're different; and that's ridiculous.

I want this--difference.

And everything is different.

And wanting you seems impossible because it's different; and that's ridiculous.

I want this--ridiculousness.

The delight of you is contained in the wanting that seems impossible and the difference that you bring, and the ridiculousness of it all; and that's not ridiculous.

Nothing is known until it comes to be known, but it can be wanted even though it's not known. And that's not ridiculous. And wanting you, and wanting difference, and wanting the ridiculousness of it, and reveling in the desire of it, and the un-havingness of it all, brings a different and ridiculous charm to life. But it's not impossible. Like a waving wand, it conjures up a mystery of things and challenges me to sweep up in my arms the wonderful ridiculousness of it all.
